CONFERENCE VENUEThe event will take place at the Institut d'Études Scientifiques - IESC at Cargèse.
Cargèse is located on the West coast of Corsica. The closest airport and harbor are located in the city of Ajaccio. Other itineraries are possible but please be aware of the scarceness of public transportation in Corsica. Driving through Corsica is scenic but can take a long time. Transfers from and to the airport at Ajaccio will be provided via shuttle buses only on the first and last days of the meeting. As you are expected to stay the full duration of the meeting, no organized transfer will be proposed on other days. The event will start on Monday, April 1st, 2024 which is Easter Monday. As a consequence, it will be a period of intense travelling to and from Corsica. Accepted attendees or guest speakers are invited to organize their venue as soon as possible. Travel information. By plane The nearest airport to the conference center is located at Ajaccio (Aeroport d'Ajaccio Napoléon Bonaparte - it has the code AJA). This airport is connected to most French hubs (i.e., Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Nice). Transfers from and to the airport at Ajaccio will be provided via shuttle buses only on March 31st 2024 (arrival day) and April 6th, 2024 (departure day). As you are expected to stay the full duration of the meeting, no organized transfer will be proposed on other days. Travel tips from outside Europe Travel to Paris, where most flights arrive at Roissy - Charles de Gaulle (CDG) airport, and either fly directly to Ajaccio or change airport to Paris -Orly (ORY) from where you will find daily flights to Ajaccio. Note that some companies offer the airport transfer when you book your flights. At the time of writing, international connections can also be found via Brussels and Munich, but with lower frequency. Travel tips from within Europe Most European cities have direct flights to Paris, Lyon, Marseille, or Nice. From those airports, you will find direct connecting flights to Ajaccio.
